Continuing to ask the baby...

In continuing to reflect on the passage about asking the infant seven days old (see previous blog entry), I cannot help but think of the ecstatic poetry of Rumi. His passion for God/truth was so much that he appeared drunk and a fool to many who would be too serious. He loved God so much that propriety and tradition was thrown aside. I can see this too in Jesus words. Jesus is the laughing Jesus calling us to holy innocence. Lay aside everything that would keep you from God....and in laying everything aside, you then find everything. This path is a path of joy!

  1. Love it. Have you read The Laughing Jesus?

  2. I have not, though it is on my list to read. :)
